Riverside Etiquette and Dutch Oven (DO) cooking class
You dont have to eat canned beanie weanies on your overnight river trips! Learn to cook lasagna, casseroles and tasty desserts in a dutch oven (DO). Its so easy and its a great way to get invited on future river trips. But dont forget the dishes! You cant dump the leftovers in the river. Learn how to clean up your river meals without leaving a trace and hygienically clean your dishes. Date: Saturday, April 19, 2003 Location: Ruby Mountain Campground, Arkansas river; Directions to Ruby Mountain can be found at the AHRA link here. Time: 11 AM-2 PM What you need to bring: Personal drinks, dishes, fork/knife, river chair What we provide: A Leave No Trace volunteer to present the class, DO cooking experts, river kitchen and gear, food, semi-valuable giveaway items for each participant, 6 month membership to Colorado Whitewater Association, membership to the Private Boaters Coalition and Pikes Peak River Runners. The registration fee will be approximately $15/person (just enough to cover the costs of food and campsite reservation fees). You will also need to purchase a daily parks pass $2/person or an annual pass works as well. Please contact us in advance of the class with the number of people that you want to attend so we can make sure to bring enough food. Everyone is welcome.
